December 2002. For some weeks I had noticed that Tessa was not behaving like she used to. She slept a lot and didn't eat so much either.
I then took her to the vets and asked them to take a look at her. They wanted her to stay at the clinic for some tests. I really was worried because I had a bad feeling that it wasn't too good with her, as they wanted all those tests.
A couple of days later the tests were back. Tessa has a cancer tumor in the lymph nodes in her abdominal cavity.
Now I really was scared. The vets couldn't operate her, but they wanted to put her on some medicine. Some kind of adrenal cortex medicine. She got an injection that would works for 3 weeks, and then I should make up my mind about she was better or not.
It's a month ago now, and I think she is better, but still a weak and ill little cat. But she eats and walks around in the house and seems to enjoy life.
I have decided that as long as I feel that she is happy, I'll let her stay. I'll be so very sad if I got to let her go to the bridge, but on the other hand I can't look at her being too weak. So for the time being she is still here and I hope and pray that she could be better.
Januar 10th 2003. From someone who signed my guestbook I found a web site about a cat healer. I must admit that I have never heard about a healer for cats before. I know about people who has been cured by a healer but never a cat. I decided to send a mail to the woman who is a cat healer. It wouldn't do Tessa any harm, and maybe she could make her better. The Lords ways are unpredictable. Maybe this could be the answer to my prayers.
The nice lady - Dominique - has let the healings flow to Tessa after downloading a photo of her. And already the day after I felt that Tessa was better. Of course it could be because I want her to be, but in a way I feel that Dominique has done something for Tessa.
If this works for Tessa, I feel that more cat owners/lovers should have the chance of reading about Dominique. So I will add her banner here and you can visit her.
Even if this is only a temporary improvement for Tessa, I'm still grateful. As long as my little darling is here and looks like she is enjoying life, then I'm happy.

January 29th 2003. - My wonderful little darling Tessa is not here anylonger. She went to The Rainbow Bridge today about 14.00.
After the medicine and healings she had some good time, but the last week has been bad. She was more and more weak, and I had to take her to the vets again. This time I brought her to the pet hospital where Tam-Tam was during his accident. They told me that Tessa was far to weak to go on living, and if I would do the best for Tessa, she should have peace now.
I held her close when she got the injection and talked to her until she was gone.
After that I took her little body back and we burried her in the garden - her garden as she loved so much.
It is so very hard for me, because I loved that little cat so very much, but she really needed to go - needed to have peace.
